Why mention that they played in Canada or United States Ek? It has no bearing on getting in. |

Patrick Elias... Should be in the HOF
Vincent LeCavalier... Should be in the HOF
Daniel Alfredsson...Even as a Sens fan, I don't think he should be in the HOF. His stats were there for sure, but he never won a cup and he screwed over the team 3 times.
Jeremy Roenick... Should be in the HOF... he would be in it now if he learned to talk a bit more gentle. I think the fact that he is so outspoken is whats holding him out.
Alex Mogilny...Just flat out should be int he HOF. What he did for Russian players is worth it alone, but his skill and stats are there too.
Theo Fleury...Should be in the HOF
Doug Wilson...I'm kind of skeptical. I think if he wins a cup as a GM, then he should get a shot at it. |

This is such nonsense I don't know where to begin. Firstly, if you claim to be a Sens fan, how could you not see Alfredsson as a hall of famer? That's ludicrous. His stats are as good or better than the others on the list and that's generally the basis of selection. That he never won a cup is irrelevant. Lots of HOF members never won a cup. It's not the hall of fame of cup winners. Lastly, please explain how Alfredsson, the heart of the team for well over a decade, screwed Ottawa over 3 times? That is the biggest joke of your entire comment. Almost every single great moment in Sens history involves Alfredsson. Good grief. |

Elias gets so little respect that people take cups away from him.
I’m not sure if he’ll get the nod for the Hall but he’ll always be a legend to any NJ fan. |

Did you say about Elias that he only brought one Stanley cup to his city?
He had the game winning assist vs Dallas in overtime in 2000 and I'm sure he was on the 03 cup team
-dmarsden2988
I think he was implying that others have gotten in for leading their team to only one Cup, but Elias has done more than one. He was complimenting Elias, not slighting him. |

I agree on the Stats, but you could say the same thing about Jeremy Roenick. He had the Stats too, but there are other factors that have kept him out.... namely his mouth.
Alfie screwed over the Sens three times.
#1. He openly in the media gave up on the team in the playoffs. When he was asked about coming back in the series. He just flat out said they weren't going to win
#2. After having a front loaded contract and already making his money, he was pissed that he only make $1 Million in his final year with the Sens. Then after EM gave BM the go ahead to sign Alfie no matter what it took. Alfie kept saying 'I'm debating retiring, BM very openly said what if we signed you and if you don't like it we'll trade you. Then without notice, he signed with the Wings without even giving BM a call.
Murray very clearly laid out a time line for everything in a press conference when it happened.
#3. After they let him retire as a Sen and retired his number he went into management and then randomly quit without any notice to the fans as to why. |

It's not as bad as what happened to Vinny Lecavalier. Not playing for the Habs is hurting him from being in the Hockey Hall of Fame. |
